The Global Tuna Alliance is legally incorporated under Dutch law as a Stichting. Strategic oversight rests with the GTA Board of Directors, which holds overall responsibility for the organisation.
The Board is supported by a Partners Advisory Group (PAG), a small, representative body drawn from across the wider Alliance. The PAG provides guidance on organisational priorities and ensures that partner perspectives shape the GTA’s strategic direction.
Day‑to‑day delivery of the GTA work programme is undertaken by a small team that brings together expertise in tuna fisheries, communications, advocacy and stakeholder engagement. This team is responsible for implementing the GTA’s strategy, coordinating partner activity and maintaining relationships across the supply chain and the wider stakeholder community.
